Danish planter, in the employ of the Danish East Asiatic Company, from 1916-38 on Mount Austin Rubber Estates, Johore, when he retired to Denmark; returned to Malaya as Manager on Timor Estate in 1946; left for good in 1947, settling in Copenhagen. Interested in orchids. |

Living orchids to Hort. Sing. (c. 1910-35); possibly some preserved in Herb. Sing. [SING]. In 1947 he collected at Zamboanga (Mindanao, P.I.),1946-47 in Malacca (Malay Penins.), c. 100 specimens; in Herb. Copenhagen [C] (sent for identification to Dr E.D. Merrill in 1948): 61 nos from S. Johore (Malaya), plants from Siam [= Thailand], and 15 from the Philippines.. |
