career:

At first in the D.E. Indian army, subsequently in the employ of the D.E.I. Mining Department; finally Head Overseer; retired in 1933. He still lives in Indonesia.

Herb. Bog. [BO]: 13 plants, including Pimpinella pruatjan Molkenb. collected S of G. Djaja, Papandajan. On June 4, 1930, a plant from Tegal Pandjang (Papandajan), numbered by van Steenis (no 4438, leg. Ecoma Verstege).
