Forest Officer; from 1902-04 stationed in the Java teak districts, from 1905-12 in Curaçao (West Indies); from 1912 in the Dutch East Indies again, respectively at Blora (Centr. Java), Fort de Kock (Sumatra West Coast, 1915-18), and since 1918 in Java again. In 1924 he was appointed Forest Administrator in the domain of the Mangkoenogoro (Solo); retired in 1931. Author of some sylvicultural papers in the periodical ‘Tectona’. |

Batoegadja (June 1), H. Pakoe, Dagang Koebang, Sidakalang (5), Toetoengbatoe, Djandji, H. Boekit, H. Pinang, Laksa (11), Dk Soemoel, H. Manik, Sidikalang (14-16). Peboeloean, Baniara, Lintaeng (or ? Limbaeng), Pagoeroeran, Roenggoerna Hoeta (22), Lontaeng, Adjibata, Raoehboti, Hitenano, Sidjoekat (29), Hada-Hada, Gonting, H. Goegoek, Parloemboean, Taroetoeng (July 10-11) and via Banoehadji, Pagaranpisang, H. Meranti back to Sibolga (15), from where departing (22) to Padang Sidimpoean.-1916. To Lower and Upper Baros: by car (Aug. 23-25) from Fort de Kock to Sibolga; by K.P.M. steamer to Baros (arriving the 28th); Tanggabosi (29), Palilitan (30), Dk Poerba (31), Palilitan-Si Ringo (Sept. 1), Palilitan-Tanggabosi (2), Laksa (3), Tanggabosi-Barns (4), by car vice versa to Poelau Karang (5), stay at Baros (6-7), by proa to Sibolga (8), and returning by car to Fort de Kock (9-11).-From 1915-18 collecting in several localities in Sumatra West Coast, viz at Agam, Tanah Datar, G. Merapi, etc.-Centr. Java: Rongkop, Djokja (July 1925). |

In Herb. Bog. [BO]; when in Sumatra he brought home several living orchids which were cultivated in Hort. Jacobson (see E.R. Jacobson). The latter orchid collection was presented to Hort. Bog. in 1921. |
