Forest Officer who entered the D.E. Indian Forest Service in 1919; at first stationed in the teak districts of Java, and in 1920 put at the disposal of Endert (see there) for the forest exploration of Palembang.1 In June 1925 he was transferred to Buitenzorg; from 1927 stationed in Java; in 1934 appointed teacher of the Agricultural School at Buitenzorg, and since 1937 stationed at Poerworedjo (Centr. Java). When on European furlough in 1926 he took his Dr’s degree at Wageningen.2 He is the author of other sylvicultural papers, and of a text-book on pedology. |
