Pharmacist, educated at Leiden University; from 1930-34 Military Dispenser, successively at Batavia, Bandoeng and Padang; from 1934-41 in the employ of the K.P.M. (Royal Packet Company) at Batavia, in 1941 besides Lecturer in Pharmacy at the Medical College there. He took his Dr’s degree at Utrecht in 1947. He is especially interested in Javanese medicinal herbs and examined mixtures of those.1 |

On behalf of his research he collected weeds in the environs of Batavia, and at Lembang (above Bandoeng, early in Sept. 1939) in W. Java, mostly in cultivated area, from 1937 onwards. |
