A native of New Ireland (Bismarck Archipelago), who together with Takadu (see there) collected many plants on behalf of Schlechter, when the latter was in New Guinea from 1907-09. Dendrobium sikini Schltr. was named after him (cf. Backer, Verkl. Woordenb., 1936). |
