English missionary, from 1906-07 in St John’s College at Melbourne, Australia; in 1907 stationed at Ambasi, and in c. 1918 at Dogura (E. New Guinea), in the employ of the Anglican Mission. In 1914 he discovered Polypodium shawii Copel. near Taupota (E. New Guinea). |
