Wife of Reverend H.P. Schlencker, officer of the London Missionary Society, came to New Guinea in February 1905; they were successively stationed at Kalaigolo (1905), Boku (1910), and Orokolo (March 1912); in July 1926 Mr Schlencker’s health forced them to leave for Australia. Castanopsis schlenckerae Baill. was named after her. |
