Ex-officer of the D.E. Indian Army; successively Custodian of the Museum of the Batavian Society of Arts and Sciences, of the Colonial Institute at Amsterdam, and of the Ethnological State Museum at Leiden. He was topographer-ethnographer of the Stirling Expedition to New Guinea in 1926 (cf sub Docters van Leeuwen),1 and leader of the New Guinea expedition 1939 of the Royal Dutch Geographical Society (cf. sub Eyma).2 |

He collected material of 2 Dendrobiums on the central range in the basin of the Upper Rouffaer River in Dutch New Guinea in 1926, which Docters van Leeuwen presented to Herb. Bog. [BO] in 1928. |
