Born: 1925, near Kuantan, Pahang, Malaya. Died: 24 Sept. 1969, Kuantan, Malaya.

career:

Entered the Forest Department in 1947, and left in February 1952 to follow a four-year course in forestry in Australia. After having attained his B.Sc. he returned to Malaya as Deputy Conservator of Forests. In 1957 District Forest Officer at Klang, in 1959 at Kuala Pilah; subsequently posted in Trengganu, Johore, in 1963 at the Forest Research Institute, Negri Sembilan, and Kuala Lumpur, acting on two occasions as Deputy Director.
