Was educated at the College of Agriculture, Wageningen, finishing his studies in 1925, taking his Dr’s degree in 1933. In 1925 appointed Agriculturist of the Rubber Experiment Station at Buitenzorg (W. Java), and subsequently on the staff of several experiment stations, viz at Buitenzorg from 1926-32, at Semarang (Centr. Java) from 1933-40, and finally at Buitenzorg again (W. Java Experiment Station), mainly working on selection of rubber and cocoa. |
