Ethnologist and linguist who accompanied some German Southsea expeditions, including the well-known ‘Südsee-Expedition der Hamburgische Wissenschaftliche Stiftung’ in the ‘Peiho’, 1908-10 (cf. also sub G. Duncker).

Possibly he collected a few specimens together with F.E. Hellwig (see there).
