Curator of the Mountain Botanic Garden at Tjibodas, W. Java, from Sept. 1889-Sept. 1893 (temporarily relieved at his own request from Febr.-June 1892); towards the end of 1893 he was transferred to the Botanic Gardens, Buitenzorg.
