career:

Passed his youth in Java, and was subsequently educated in the Colonial Agricultural School at Deventer, Holland. After his return raising cattle in East Java; from 1942-48 official in the Dutch East Indian Sea-Fishery Department, stationed at Pontianak in W. Borneo; from 1952-57 in the Indonesian Sea-Fishery Department at Djakarta. In April 1957 he would leave for Holland.

Collecting localities:

In 1949 he collected some plants with H.J. Schophuys (see there) in W. Borneo.
