Author of ‘Some Account of the Elastic Gum Vine of Prince of Wales’ Island, etc.’ (As. Res. 5, 1797, p. 157-165). He certainly was the discoverer of the caoutchouc vine, but Roxburgh made his description after material collected by Ch. Campbell in Sumatra, which was forwarded by Fleming. |
