Born: 1903, Zwolle, O., Holland.

career:

Chemist, educated at Utrecht University, where he took his degree in 1928; chemist-oceanographer attached to the Snellius Expedition, 1929-30; chemist of the Soil Science Institute, Buitenzorg, 1931-39; since 1939 Chief of the Laboratory for Chemical Analysis, Buitenzorg. In 1946, after the war, he was stationed in the Head office of the Division of Industry of the Dept of Economic Affairs.

Author of chemical and soil-chemical papers.
