career:

Amateur botanist who studied theology; in the Franciscan Order. From 1961 stationed in different localities in West Borneo as ‘Pater Agatho’. He is an excellent plant photographer and occasionally has made herbarium specimens, although lack of time of late (vide letter of June 1969) prevents these activities.
