Mining engineer, educated at the Technical College, Delft; joined the D.E. Indian Government service in 1857; in 1870 on sick-leave to Holland, and retired in 1873. |

He is cited by Miquel (in Ann. Mus. Bot. Lugd. Bat. 1, 1863-64) as the collector of Hepaticae on G. Maras in Banka. He travelled across the island for seven years (1858-65).1 |
