At first ‘Mantri’ of the Police and since 1917 of the D.E.I. Forest Service in SE. Borneo, at the following stations: Karang Intau, Bandjermasin, Pleihari, Kandangan, Kota Baroe, Martapoera, Koeala Kapoeas, and Batoe Litjin. In 1937 appointed Chief Mantri.
