Orchid collector in the employ of the firm Hugh Low & Co., London. In 1888 he stayed in W. Java with the special object of collecting 10.000 living specimens of Phalaenopsis grandiflora in the southern part of Priangan Residency. The journey to Java was preceded by one to the Philippines, where he collected at Manila (Luzon); in the meantime he was in London. He may have colleced well -known species only. |
