A civil mining engineer who made geological explorations in Panama Isthmus, Borneo, the Caucasus, Africa, Ivory Coast (1882), California, the Antilles, Venezuela and Ceylon. Author of some papers relating to Borneo.1 Millettia chaperii Gagnep. from Borneo (coll. Nov. 1890) was named after him. |

Knapei (Kenepai), Penindoe River, Sg. Mang, Sg. Ajoe, and visiting G. Rajoen and G. Oejan (6 weeks from the end of Oct. onwards); Semitau; leaving Semitau (Jan. 9, 1891), Sintang (10), and back at Pontianak (21); Singapore (31). |
