Born: 1932, Poerbalingga, Java. |

Botanist, educated at the University of Indonesia, Bandung (1952-57), and at Leiden University (1958-61), Ph.D. 1971 on a plantgeographical analysis of the Pacific. Since 1961 on the staff of the Rijksherbarium, Leiden. He visited New Guinea, Australia, Lord Howe I., and Java in 1965.1 In 1971 he attended the Pacific Science Congress in Australia, and made a collecting trip to Tahiti. |
