Made an expedition for the Arnold Arboretum (Jamaica Plain) and the Bot. Gard. Michigan, to investigate the flora of the Prov. of Lanao, Mindanao, P.I., in 1938.

The collection included the new species Isoetes philippinensis Merr. & L.M.Perry.¹
