He may be identical with the author of ‘The State of North Borneo’ (Journ. Soc. of Arts 51, 1903, p. 507-519), a paper not dealing with the natural history of the island.

Discoverer of Pteris walkeri Baker (cf. Backer, Verkl. Woordenb., 1936) near Silam in Br. N. Borneo in the eighties of the 19th century. Possibly it was one of the 24 plants sent by him to Hort. Sing. in 1883.
