Botanist who took his Ph.Dr’s degree at Berne University in 1919; on the staff of the Besuki Experiment Station (Djember, E. Java), 1920-29; in the employ of the R.C.M.A. Deli at Medan (Sumatra), 1929-30; since 1930 Director of the Besuki Experiment Station. Author of many papers, especially dealing with physiological, phytopathological, and genetical problems concerning rubber, coffee, and tobacco culture. |
