Possibly identical with the Assistant Hunter of that name, who quitted the employ of the German New Guinea Company in 1889.1 Piper (Rhyncholepis) rückeri K.Schum. was named after him. |

Over 44 nos, collected in former Kaiser-Wilhelmsland (= NE. New Guinea) in the vicinity of Constantinhafen. Probably with the herbarium of the New Guinea Company in Herb. Berl. [B]. The plants were at the disposal of K. Schumann.2 |
