career:

Major (native officer of the Civil Service) of Tonsea in the Minahassa (N. Celebes), gave assistance to Teysmann and de Vriese when they travelled in that part of the island in 1860. Probably afterwards transferred to Ambon. He climbed G. Klabat in 1850.¹
