career:

Botanist, educated at Kyoto University, graduated in 1930; Lecturer at the Botanical Institute of Kyoto University, 1936-43; on the staff of the Buitenzorg Herbarium, 1943-45; since 1946 on the non-official staff of the Tokyo Science Museum.

Herb. Bog. [BO]: at least 15 nos of grasses, collected at Singapore and Buitenzorg (W. Java).¹
