Accompanied a Japanese expedition to Sumatra (Aug. 4-Sept. 20, 1971); other members: Prof. M. Hirano (algologist), Dr K. Iwatsuki (pteridologist). Dr J. Dransfield (see there) from Bogor joined the expedition. As he is the author of papers on phanerogams, it was probably he who was responsible for the collecting of higher plants. |
