Brother-in-law of R. Schlechter (see there). In 1892 he set out to Singapore, where he worked for some months in the German consulate; subsequently he went to Bindjei Estate (Deli, Sumatra East Coast), of which he finally became Head-Manager in 1912. In 1913 he returned to Germany, being appointed Director of a Tobacco Company. Appendicula krauseana Schltr. was named after him. |
