Was educated at the University of Copenhagen (Mag. Sc. botany 1936); Assistant at the Botanical Laboratory of the University of Copenhagen 1938; Dr. phil. 1951; head of the Ecological Department 1956; Professor in Botanical Ecology 1967.1 Member of the ‘3rd Danish Central Asian Expedition’, 1948-49 ;2 UNESCO Science Research specialist in Peru, 1956-57; from Jan. 8-Apr. 28, 1962, he participated in the Danish ‘Noona Dan Expedition’ (see there for Itinerary, Collections, etc.). |
