Mining engineer, educated at Delft; joined the D.E.I. Government service in 1850, and was subsequently placed at the disposal of C. de Groot; in 1859 Head of the Mining Service of the D.E.I.; he resigned in 1860, and got a license to exercise the profession of surveyor in 1863; in 1867 he joined the Mining Service again and was stationed in Sumatra West Coast. |
