Zoologist who travelled in Europe (1925) and N. Persia (1927), and went on a zoological expedition to the D.E.I. (see below); in 1935 he made a journey to the Balkan. Areca henrici Furtado, Vaccinium henrici Sleumer, etc., were named after him. |

Celebes: from Paleleh and Bodi to Matinan Mts; Menado (Dec. 23), Rurukan, G. Masarang, G. Mahawu and G. Lokon; back to Rurukan (Febr. 13, 1931); Kumersot (Febr. 21-); sailing from Menado (March 27) to the Moluccas: Ternate, exploration of Halmahera (climbing G. Gamkonora and visiting Oba Distr.) and Batjan; back to SW. Celebes: starting from Makassar (Aug. 23) to the Peak of Bonthain, Wawakaraeng, and the limestone hills of Maros (Nov. 1), staying at Talassa, visiting Bantimoeroeng too; from Makassar (Nov. 29) to SE. Celebes: from Kolaka to the Mengkoka Mts, the Tanke Salokko (1500 m?) (Dec. 1931-Jan. 1932); till Febr. 23 staying in SE. Celebes. |
