Brought up in the U.S.A. (B.Sc. 1905). B.S.F. in the University of Minnesota, U.S.A.. Shortly after graduation he came to the Philippines to work in the Bureau of Forestry; in 1909 transferred to the College of Agriculture, U.P. Forester in charge of the School of Forestry, and Professor of Silviculture and Physiography in the University of the Philippines. He resigned in 1953. Author of several papers on useful plants.1 |

Scattered in literature we met with the numbers 21 and 29, both from Luzon. He only made a minor collection; in Herb. Manila [PNH]. |
