Entered the D.E. Indian Forest Service in 1876; he was appointed Inspector of Forests in 1897 and Chief Inspector in 1900; retired in 1907. Thanks to him Koorders (see there) was given the opportunity for the floristical investigation of Java. He is commemorated in the plant genus Bruinsmia Boerl. & Koord. |
