1912. During his voyage round the world (Apr. 10-Dec. 3) he visited the Malay Peninsula: Penang, Singapore (1 week) and Java; in W. Java: Tandjong Priok-Batavia-Buitenzorg (Sept. 14-16); Garoet (17-22), visiting Lake Bagindas (= prob. Bagendit!) (18), G. Papandajan crater (ascending from Tjisoeroepan, 21); in Centr. Java: Djokja (23-25), visiting the Boroeboedoer and Tjandi Mendoet (24), and the Prambanan (25); in E. Java: Soerabaja (26-27), Pasoeroean-Poespo-Tosari (G. Tengger) (28), Zandzee-G. Bromo (Tengger) (30); Poespo-Soerabaja (Oct. 1); Oct. 4 leaving Java. |
