Born: 1895, Den Helder, N.H., Holland.

 

career:

Was educated at Wageningen Agricultural College; from 1919-26 Forest Officer in D.E.I. Government service, stationed in Sumatra1 at Oud-Agam (Tapanoeli) in 1919, at Koetaradja (Atjeh) in 1921, at Pangkalan Brandan in Oct. 1922, at Laboean Bilik in Jan. 1923 and at Pangkalan Brandan again in March 1923; in Febr. 1924 transferred to Central Java, Pekalongan-Kendal District and since October 1924 in the Head Office, Buitenzorg. Since 1926 employed in the Division of Agriculture of the Department of Economic Affairs, Batavia; since 1938 chief of that Division; in 1947 Sub-Director of the Department.

Sumatra West Coast: Agam (1921); Sumatra East Coast: Laboehan Batoe, Asahan and Langkat (1923); W. Borneo: Mont(e)rado (Oct. 1927).
