career:

Forest Officer, since 1913 in the employ of the D.E. Indian Forest Service; at first stationed at Buitenzorg, since 1914 in the teak districts of Java; in 1925 transferred to Soekaboemi, in 1929 for some months at Buitenzorg, and subsequently to Magelang (Centr. Java), in Aug. 1930 to Malang, in 1931 to Bandoeng; in 1932 he was appointed Inspector of Forests; in 1934 he retired and returned to Holland.
